 Real-time stoppage data: See stoppages anywhere on the line in the monitor, and help get the line running quickly.
Down-time tracking and line balance - Use Pareto Charts to track and analyze causes of line down-time to see where there is room for improvement.
Real-time forecasting: See if a run will finish early or late using color-coded forecast information in the Plant Status display, and plan accordingly.
Improve setup: See if setup is taking too long and improve procedures accordingly.
Timely alerts: Use the alarm system to ensure that managers everywhere in the plant are alerted to serious problems.
Track and improve performance: Analyze trends in performance and yields, use efficiency and line utilization values as the basis of a productivity incentive plan.
Aid in TQM - Use various reports to present, analyze and correct problems in quality circles.
